Bangkok Phuket Hospital began its construction
in July 1993. The hospital is a joint venture between Bangkok
Dusit Medical Services Plc.(BDMS), Anuphas & Sons Co., Ltd. and
a group of local investors. The total investment at the time
was 800 million Baht.
We
are part of BGH group with 15 hospitals and 1 pharmacy manufacturing
under its umbrella, thus sharing know how and resources within our
network of hospitals and affiliated medical institutions. These
include the Johns Hopkins Institute (USA) for staff training and medico-management
skills transfer, Jameson Health system (USA) for elderly care and
home health care, Epworth Hospital (Australia) assisting in staff
training, especially nursing, the Liaoning College of Chinese Traditional
Medicine (Republic of China) and Kanto Medical Laboratory, (Japan).
Up-to-date
communication facilities are installed to enable fast and efficient
decision making with Bangkok General Hospital. Our telemedicine
installation can transmit x-ray images and patient data, including
real-time cardiac monitoring, to BGH thus giving full access to other
specialists for further consultation.
There
are 42 full time specialists and 50 consulting physicians in all areas.
Our physicians bring impressive credentials from the best Thai
and international universities. Three full-time physicians,
in addition to on call doctors, are always on standby outside normal
working hours.
We
consider training to be one of the cornerstones of our growth and
development. We and our affiliated hospitals have implemented
continuous training programmes to ensure that our personnel remain
at the forefront of medical performance.
Bangkok Phuket Hospital is the first hospital
in Phuket to have been granted an ISO 9002 Certificate from the Quality
Science Universal Company based in Singapore. This, to our customers,
is evidence of our high quality services. ISO Certification
is a major achievement by our management, physicians, nurses and staff
and we all feel a sense of pride at this. Hospital Accreditation
is our next goal and this in turn will be a clear indicator of our
excellence in the field of healthcare provision.
Bangkok Phuket Hospital has been single-minded
yet flexible in its approach to embrace new ideas as it strives to
give the best care, attention and services possible. The optimum
outcome will always be the good health and well being of every customer.
The policy has always emphasised making the most of the hospital's
network, with the ultimate aim being to bring advanced medical knowledge,
know-how and services to the local community.
